What to Expect For The Future of The Defenders

Following the cancellation of Daredevil, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, Marvel fans are concerned about the fate of these heroes, and whether they are likely to return or not. When Netflix was given the contract to create these shows, it stated that Marvel Studios can not include Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage or Daredevil in any of their media until 2020. Although this sounds like a bad deal for Disney, The Punisher was not included in this deal, and was added onto a different deal later. This leaves Disney with a couple of options. They could try and convince Netflix, or pay them to back out of the deal. Or they could wait until 2020 for the contract to end. They could start a Punisher series now, but its unlikely to fit with the current tone of the universe. With the release of The Punisher season 2, fans are expecting a cancellation announcement any time soon. Venom Movie Review

With Sony's track record of bottling it whenever it comes to making marvel films, you'd expect Venom to be no different. However, much like DC made a comeback with Wonder Woman, it appears that Sony have done the same. When a spacecraft carrying symbiotes from an asteroid back to earth for experimentation crashes, The Life Foundation owner Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), attempts to learn more about the creatures in order to cure human ailments. Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is working as a reporter in San Francisco when a story on the life foundation owner, Carlton Drake, goes south and he loses everything. His fiance, his house and career are all lost thanks to Drakes influence. In a last ditch effort to stop Drake, one of his scientists approaches Eddie in an attempt to persuade him to expose Drake once and for all. Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse Review

After the dismal reviews given to Sony by critics after the release of Venom, it's safe to say that they had some making up to do. Not only was this the best animated movie of 2018, but it was a great way to introduce movie fans to the idea of different universes with different variants of the heroes. Miles was likeable and funny, but also emotional when the scene called for it. People who are fans of the comics will have seen the twist half way through the movie coming, but to most people in the theatre it seemed to be a shock. The plot revolves around The Kingpin, who attempts to open a rift into another dimension in order to retrieve his wife and child, who have died in his own dimension. Miles was doing graffiti one night in an old sewer tunnel with his uncle, when he got bitten by a spider that came into his dimension during one of Kingpins tests.
